Redstamp RSI is hiring a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and support electromechanical systems at customer sites across the U.S. This is a travel-intensive role for hands-on professionals who enjoy working independently, solving problems in the field, and representing a high-quality brand in real time.
Our service techs are the face of Redstamp on the customer floor—installing new lines, diagnosing complex issues, and supporting clients in fast-paced warehousing and compliance-driven environments. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, tech-savvy, and thrives on variety, autonomy, and learning.
Processes:
- Install and commission new stamp-applicator and vision-inspection systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical (120/240 V AC & low-voltage DC), and pneumatic issues
- Interface with PLCs, sensors, motors, barcode or vision-based systems
- Write trip reports, recommend parts, and log service updates
- Walk customers through emergency troubleshooting via remote support (on-call paid rotation)
- Identify recurring failures and relay improvement ideas to Engineering
- Manage travel, expenses, and maintain DOT-compliant time logs
Technical:
- Hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with multimeters, basic wiring, and diagnostic tools
- Strong communication and professionalism in customer-facing environments
- Competency using Microsoft 365 (email, spreadsheets, reports)
- Basic familiarity with PC-based systems or a willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in field service, maintenance, automotive, or hands-on technical trades
- Exposure to PLCs, sensors, barcode or vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence)
- Previous experience in high-travel roles or military technical service
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8–10 hour shifts
- Valid driver’s license and passport eligibility
Additional Details:
- Paid hourly “hotel-to-hotel” including travel and flight time
- Per diem: $40/day travel, $55/day fieldwork + hotel loyalty bonus ($20/night)
- Optional on-call pay for remote troubleshooting calls
- All tools, credit card, phone, and travel arrangements provided
