Job Summary:
RedStamp Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist with experience
in CNC programming to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will
be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce
high-quality components that meet exact specifications. Manual machining with
Bridgeport type hand mills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from technical blueprints, CAD models, and engineering
drawings. - Set up and operate CNC machines (mills) to manufacture precision parts.
- Write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using GibbsCAM Software.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and
efficiency. - Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers,
calipers, gauges). - Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize machining processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with programming capabilities.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and using CAD/CAM software.
- Strong understanding of CNC machine operation.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years in a CNC machining environment.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines.
- Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with Bridgeport Type hand mills
